We are excited to offer our GCTL Summer Doubles Team Flex League beginning the week of May 18, 2026. All matches are self-scheduled and will be played over 7 weeks. Each match consists of one doubles court of play. It is recommended to build teams of 3-4 players so that each week at least 2 players can compete. If you and your opponent can not agree on a match date, the match will be held on the second Friday following the original week of play. If one doubles team can not play on that date, that team will be defaulted. At least one player must be rated at the NTRP level of play. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each division.

Rules
League fees are $60 per player. The league fee is $80 if you are on two teams. These fees are payable to GCTL. Please give your payment to your home facility. Venmo payment is the preferred payment method. Contact Sherrie to make other payment arrangements.
Each match will consist of 3 doubles matches
Each team must have at least 50% of the players at the rated playing level.
USTA Rules will apply if rule in question is not listed here.
Procedures in the Event of a Tie. In the event of a tie, the tie shall be broken by the first of the following procedures that does so: 1.Individual Matches. Winner of the most individual matches in the entire competition. 2.Head-to-Head. Winner of head-to-head match. 3. Sets. Loser of the fewest number of sets. 4. Games. Loser of the fewest number of games.
Scoring of Individual Defaults. For the purpose of determining standings, individual defaults will be scored as a 6-0, 6-0 win for the doubles team receiving the default and a 0-6, 0-6 loss for doubles team that defaulted the match. In the event of a default by both doubles teams, both sides will be given a 0-6, 0-6 loss and neither receives credit for a win. If a double default results in a tie, the tiebreak procedure shall be the same (as above) in order to determine a winner of that team match.
Default rule will be in effect if players are more than 15 minutes late for the agreed match time. However, please be reasonable and accommodating. We want the matches to be played. Remember this is a social and fun league!
All rain outs should be made up within 7 days of the scheduled match date. Example: If your match on October 16 is rained out, you should make up your match before October 23. If indoor court space is available at Windyke Country Club, players may book an indoor court at the indoor court rate.
Balls will be provided by each facility.
The deadline to add players to your roster is October 31, 2025.
Subs are allowed 3 times per season and must pay a fee of $10 payable to GCTL. The sub must be a different player each time.
The winning team captains should please submit your scores to Sherrie Cox at gctlresults@gmail.com. We will post scores and update standings each Friday.
